Eligibility for getting Admission
For getting admission to undergraduate courses, a student needs to complete higher secondary (10+2) examination from any recognized board, council or university. A student gets admission to colleges that are affiliated under University of Calcutta. Undergraduate degrees in general streams include B.A. (Bachelor of Arts), B.Com, (Bachelor of Commerce), B.Sc. (Bachelor of Science), and so on. Colleges conduct their own entrance examinations. Based on the marks of the last board examination and the performance in the entrance examination, student is granted admission.
For getting admission to post graduate courses, after completion of the graduation degree, a student needs to appear for an entrance examination, conducted by Calcutta University. Based on the performance of the entrance examination a student is granted admission.
