There is a wide array of institutions (including government and private colleges) that offer B.Sc. nursing courses in Andhra Pradesh. These institutions are governed by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), which is an autonomous body under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Duration of the B. Sc. Nursing program is 4 years and after a student completes it successfully, he/she is awarded with bachelor’s degree in nursing.
While applying for B.Sc. in nursing courses, candidates must have:
- Attained at least 17 years of age
- Passed 10+2 board examination with 45% aggregate marks in physics, chemistry, biology and English.
Arts and commerce subjects are also considered as optional subjects and one needs to score at least 50% marks in them. English has been made a compulsory subject for getting admission in it. Usually, all the nursing institutions start issuing the application forms at the end of March.
