B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) can be pursued through the traditional as well as the distance education mode. A B.Ed degree is a must for the ones who want to teach in the higher secondary schools at Std XI and Std XII level.Who can Opt for this Course: Candidates who are graduates in any stream (arts, commerce or science) from a recognized university will be able to apply for a B.Ed degree.

When to Start the Preparation: The candidates should begin preparing for these exams as soon as they are done with their final year examinations in college. The notifications usually appear January onwards so the candidates need at least 6 months time to prepare themselves.

What are the Future Prospects: Graduates in Education will be able to apply for teaching positions in both private and public sector schools. If one wants to pursue post graduation, M.Ed can be a good option. However, to be considered eligible for M.Ed, the candidates have to score at least 55% in their B.Ed examinations.
