Entrance Exams: The applicants have to appear for entrance examinations like the AIEEE, Joint Entrance Examinations of IIT or the separate entrance tests that are conducted by the various colleges and institutes. These examinations take place in the month of May.
When to Start the Preparation - Students applying for the Joint Entrance Examinations can prepare with the help of previous years’ question papers, guide books and coaching centers. The preparation should start right after the applicant passes his secondary school examinations. This will give them about two years’ time to get sufficiently prepared.
What Are the Future Prospects – An environmental engineer can get recruited in the pollution control boards in the state as well as central level. There are several environmental auditing firms that hire environmental engineers. Environmental engineers can work in the field of
- Waste water management
- Radiation protection
- Hazardous waste management
- Land management
- Water supply
- Solid waste disposal
- Toxic supplies control
