The RT is not involved in the actual diagnosis as it is performed by the Radiologist M.D.

Radiologist Assistant: The candidate is required to perform advanced techniques to investigate disease. He helps Radiologist M.D in complex radiology procedures and performs fluoroscopy under his supervision. He is a channel between radiology department and the physician. Venous diagnostic exams and feeding tube installation are the other duties.

Average Salary for Radiologist Medical technologists in this field can expect to start their career with about Rs 6000 per month under any governmental establishment. For X-ray technicians, the salary range varies between Rs 5000 and Rs 8000 per month. Junior level therapists can take home an average salary of Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,500 per month. Private sector radiology jobs are however more lucrative. But, it’s important to note that with experience and skills, you can easily reach higher levels.
