Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Chandigarh

The Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Chandigarh was set up by the Homeopathic Medical College Association. This college is one of the premier homeopathy institutes in India and previously used to offer Diploma in Homoeopathic System of Medicine & Surgery till the year 1995. The institute began imparting the B.H.M.S course from 1996 onwards. Students who have passed from this college have been absorbed by organizations that are fully or partly owned by the government.

Admission Procedure The admission procedure usually begins in the months of June-July. The candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in the Common Entrance Test (CET) that is conducted by the Panjab University.
Eligibility Criteria Candidates who have passed their higher secondary examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as the compulsory subjects will be considered eligible to apply for the B.H.M.S course which is of 5 ½ years duration.The following documents are required at the time of admission:

  • Certification of matriculation
  • 3 copies of passport size photographs of the candidate
  • Higher secondary pass certificate
  • Character certificate issued by the institute that was last attended
  • Certificate of date of birth
  • In case there is a gap year, the candidate will have to produce an affidavit.
