ICMR or the Indian Council of Medical Research is a medical organization in New Delhi that deals with research and development in several medicine related categories. There are about 30 institutes, centers and units for research under ICMR that are spread across several cities in India. The Department of Health Research in the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare in the Government of India fund the various research programs in the institutions under ICMR.
