|Admission Procedure/Eligibility Criteria||B.Sc. Programme in Hospitality & Hotel Administration:The applicants need to complete 10+2 examination from a recognized board/council/university. Candidates appearing for XII final examination are also eligible to apply. The upper age limit of the candidates is 22 years for general category and 25 years for SC/ST category.
Admission notification is generally issued in February or March in major newspapers. Eligible candidates need to qualify in a common joint entrance examination, followed by a counseling session. The counseling session is conducted for allotment of institute.
Post Graduate Diploma in Accommodation Operations & Management:
Candidates with a graduation degree in any discipline are eligible to apply for this course. Candidates will have to appear for a personal interview. Based on the marks obtained in the last qualifying examination and performance in interview, candidates are selected for the course.
Upper age limit for candidates belonging to general category is 25 years and for SC/ST candidates it is 28 years. Admission notice is issued in May or June in all leading newspapers.
Craftsmanship Course in Food & Beverage Service / Craftsmanship Course in Food Production:
Candidates need to complete school final (10th) examination or its equivalent from a recognized institute, with English as one of the subjects. Admission is granted on the basis of marks obtained in the examination and performance in personal interview.
Admission notice is issued in May or June in local newspapers. The upper age limit for general category candidates is 22 years and for SC/ST candidates, it is 25 years.
Hospitality Training Programme:
Under CBSP scheme, the institute conducts this program to create employable skills in areas like food production (cook/assistant cook-fast food, halwai, international cuisine, Indian and regional cuisine, Chinese) and food & beverage service (waiter, assistant waiter, butler, steward. Barmen, pantry man, bartender, and pantry attendant). Evening classes are conducted.
To be eligible for this program, candidates need to complete at least 8th grade. The age range should be from 18 years to 25 years. In order to compensate the wage lost, the institute will offer INR 200 per day to each candidate during the program. The course is 100% financially supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.
The institute also offers a CHT (Certified Hospitality Trainer) Course. Graduates in hospitality and hotel administration with a minimum of 60% are eligible for this course. Graduates holding a 4-year bachelors degree in hotel management are also eligible to apply. The program is fully funded by the India Government in order to create trained and qualified faculty. Selected candidates will get assistance-ship up to INR 10,000 per month to meet the living expenses.
