Admission Procedure The students are admitted to the undergraduate and the postgraduate courses on the basis of their performance in the Common Medical Entrance Test which is conducted throughout India. The application forms can either be obtained in exchange of cash payment from the JIPMER campus or downloaded from the official website of the institute. The entrance examination usually takes place in the month of July-August.
Fee Structure The fee structure of JIPMER is as follows:

  • Tuition Fees: INR 250 per annum
  • Caution Deposit: INR 1000 (refundable)
  • Amenity Fee: INR 1000 per annum
  • Students’ Association: INR 800 per annum
  • Development Fund: INR 1000 (one time)
  • Hostel Caution Deposit: INR 2000 (refundable)
  • Hostel Mess Deposit: INR 3000 (refundable)
  • Establishment Cost: INR 3000 per annum
Examinations & Results The examinations are held through the semester system.
Eligibility Criteria To appear for the MBBS entrance examinations, the candidates have to pass their higher secondary examinations from a recognized board with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the subjects. The minimum score required is 50% for General/OBC candidates and 45% for SC/ST candidates.The lower age limit is 17 whereas the upper age limit is 25 for the course.
