Admission Procedure/Eligibility Criteria | For admission to MBBS Course, applicants need to complete higher secondary (+2) examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from a recognized institute with a minimum of 50% in aggregate. For candidates belonging to SC/ST group, the minimum aggregate required is 45%. The age of the candidates should be at least 17 years. Candidates appearing in XIIth board examination are also eligible to apply. All eligible candidates need to qualify in a written entrance examination, known as DUMET (The Delhi University Medical-Dental Entrance Test). After completion of the course, students need to complete a year of internship, of which 2 months have to be spent in a rural health center. During this period, students get a stipend of INR 8900 per month.For admission to PG Diploma and M.S./M.D. courses, candidates need to have an MBBS degree from a recognized institute and have completed 1-year internship. Eligible candidates need to qualify in an entrance examination, known as DPGMET (The Delhi University Post Graduate Medical Entrance Exam).
For M.Ch. (pediatric surgery) courses, candidates need to have an M.S. degree from a recognized institute. Eligible candidates need to qualify in an entrance examination. For B.Sc. Nursing course, students need to complete senior secondary examination from a recognized institute with physics, chemistry and biology as compulsory subjects. Eligible candidates need to qualify in an entrance examination. |
