Law is a field of study to become a legal practitioner or professional. But then, with the job market widening up, an increasing number of law graduates are also opting for jobs like legal consultant, solicitor, public prosecutor, district attorney, oath commissioner, or a law professor. India with its growing development in professional studies has come up with a number of law programs. The law colleges in India offer five years, three years or two years course in law. Besides, the legal institutes also offer six months to one year diploma courses in legal studies. Admission to the law institutes of India are based on entrance examinations like Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).
