Founded as a registered society in the year 1970, Vidyavardhini College of Engineering and Technology is a well known engineering institution in Thane, Maharashtra. Vidyavardhini society got approval from the AICTE to begin a new engineering college in July, 1994. Affiliated to the University of Mumbai, the college has an intake capacity of 60 each for 5 engineering streams – Electronics and Telecommunications, Instrumentation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology and Computer Engineering. The college has a wide variety of facilities including power station, internet centre and library. With an active placement cell, students of this college are well placed in multinational companies such as Infosys, Wipro, TCS and iFlex.
