Admission Procedure / Eligibility Criteria |
- All international applicants in the college must acquire a F1 student visa before application
- Non resident students can only take admission in full time courses available at the college
- A student who is not familiar with the English language must study at the university using a F1 immigration status document

Examinations & Results |
- The department of nursing holds the TEAS Nursing Entrance Examination for all applicants. It is held during the months of March and April.
- Semester wise examination is held in the college; examinations are held at the end of the fall, summer and spring semesters

- It is the most famous among the 30 community colleges which are affiliated to the State University of New York.
- The college was established under the name of New York Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences.
- Unlike most other colleges in the country, this college does not ask for a SAT reasoning score from the applicant. Instead, entrance examinations are held by each department of study.
- The college is very popular among international students because the Admissions Office here has a separate section for international applicants and another for disabled students.
