Combined Defense Services Examination (I) is conducted by UPSC for employment to IMA (Indian Military Academy), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Officers Training Academy (OTA) as well as Indian Air Force Academy. Candidates who qualify the written examination have to appear for interview session that is organized by SSB (Service Selection Board). No married candidates can sit for this examination. For Indian Military Academy, candidates should have Bachelor’s Degree from recognized university while for INA, candidates must have Engineering degree. For Air force Academy, candidates should either have Engineering degree or degree from recognized university and also have Mathematics as well as Physics at 10+2 examination
|Eligibility Criteria||Nationality: Candidates must be an Indian citizen. Subjects of Bhutan or Nepal may also apply.
Age Limit: For Indian Military Academy, candidate must be 23 to 18 years of age. For INA, age of candidates must be 21 to 18 years and for Air force, age limit of candidates is 22 to 23 years.
|Fees||Candidates have to pay two hundred rupees either by depositing cash in SBI or through net banking system. For female candidates or those belonging to SC to ST categories, examination fee is exempted.|
