IP University Engineering Entrance Exam

Candidates who are desirous of pursuing an undergraduate course in engineering (B.Tech) from the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University will have to appear for the IP University Engineering Entrance Exam which is also known as the GGSIPU CET (Common Entrance Test). For every course, be it B.Tech, M.Tech, MBBS, MCA, BBA, B.Sc and M.Sc, the candidates will have to appear for the entrance tests which will be conducted on separate dates.

Important Dates and Parameters:
Exam Date The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) Exam is scheduled to be held on the 2nd of June, 2012.
Exam Time The examination will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
Fees The candidates will have to pay INR 1,000 as the required fee for the test. INR 100 as postage and handling charges will also have to be paid online.
Registration Opening Date The brochure and the examination notification will be published in the month of February.
Registration Closing Date The filled-in application forms have to be submitted by the 16th of April, 2012.
Eligibility Criteria: Age and Education To be considered eligible to apply for the IP University engineering entrance exam (B.Tech), the candidates have to pass their higher secondary in the 10+2 format with at least 55% average in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. The candidates must also pass each of these papers separately. The applicants must also pass in English as their core or elective subject. The candidates should not be more than 21 years of age.
Admit Card Availability The admit cards will be sent to the residential address of the candidates through speed post. If the candidate does not receive the admit card by post, he/she can download the same from the official website of the university.
Examination Centers Kolkata, Bangalore, Lucknow, Dehradun, Bhopal, Jallandhar, Delhi, Chandigarh, and Jaipur.
Availability of Brochure and Forms The brochures and the application forms will be available on the official website of the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and can also be purchased from the branches of Punjab and Sind Bank. The filled-in application forms have to be submitted to the university counter either by hand or through speed post.
Application Mode: Cash, Demand Draft, Credit Card, net Banking Registrations can be done online as well as offline and the mode of payment will differ accordingly. For online applications, the payments can be made through credit cards, net banking facilities offered by ICICI, Citibank and HDFC Bank, cash deposit slips from Axis Bank or ITZ cash card.
