Junior Translator (CSOLS)/ Junior Hindi Translator Examination, 2012

The Junior Translator (CSOLS)/Junior Hindi Translator Examination, 2012 will be conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) like every year for recruitment in the posts of Junior Translators, Hindi Pradhyapak, Senior Translators and Junior Hindi Translators in the various departments of the Central Government. 

Important Dates and Parameters:
Exam Date The Junior Translator (CSOLS)/Junior Hindi Translator Examination, 2012 is scheduled to be held on the 18th of November, 2012.
Exam Time Paper I: 10:00 am to 12:00 noon (tentative)Paper II: 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm (tentative)
Fees A fee of INR 100 has to be paid by the General and the OBC candidates. Female candidates and the ones belonging to the SC/ST/Specially abled category will not have to pay any fees.
Registration Closing Date The last date for registration is the 5th of October, 2012.
Eligibility Criteria: Age and Education The candidate who is desirous of applying for the Junior Translator (CSOLS)/Junior Hindi Translator Examination, 2012 should not be more than 30 years of age.The applicants for Junior Hindi Translators and Junior Translators should be a Master’s degree holder from a recognized university in either English or Hindi and should have had either of these two subjects as their elective subject at the degree level. For the post of Senior Translator and Junior Translator and Hindi Pradhyapak, the applicants must have a Master’s in Hindi with English as one of the elective subjects. The candidates who clear the written test will be called for a further round of interview.
Admit Card Availability The admit cards will be sent to the candidates via post two weeks before the examination is scheduled to take place.
Availability of Brochure and Forms The notifications will appear on the official website of the Staff Selection Commission and also in all the national newspapers.
Application Mode: Cash, Demand Draft, Credit Card, net Banking The fees have to be paid through the Central Recruitment Fee Stamps that are available in all post offices. Payment through any other mode will not be acceptable.
