Educational Expenses

Education in Finland is funded by the ministry of education of the government of Finland. Only students who are part of full time courses taught in Finland colleges and universities do not have to pay any tuition fees during study in the country’s institutions. Following are the documents necessary to obtain a students visa to study in Finland:

  • Filled up application form with a photograph as identity proof
  • Certificate of proof showing that the student is enrolled in a Finnish institution
  • Health insurance certificate
  • Documents that prove the financial stability of the student
  • Documents proving accommodation provisions

Students from the Nordic countries and EU / EEA regions do not need a students visa if they are in Finland for less than three months. If the study period exceeds three months, registration certificate from the local police station must be produced.
