Admission Procedure For admission to pre-school (nursery) classes, children should be at least 3 years old. For admission to 2012-2013 session, the children should be born between 1st April 2008 and 31st March 2009. Forms are available both online and offline.The points based on different parameters are as follows:

  • Children residing in Dwarka subcity – 25
  • Children residing beyond Dwarka – 20
  • Children who have siblings (own brother or sister) studying in the school – 30
  • Children with special needs (orthopedically challenged with up to 25% disability) – 5
  • First born or girl child – 5
  • Single parent (widow or widower) – 5
  • Overseas or transfer students of government employees – 10
  • Children of former alumni belonging to any DPS school owned by the DPS Society – 20
  • Children of former alumni under aegis of DPS Society – 10

Photocopies of documents to be submitted along with the admission form are -

  • Original birth certificate
  • Proof of residential address (any 2)
  • In case of first born or girl child, self certification of parents
  • Medical fitness certificate
  • School Identity card or Fee Bill (in case of sibling applicant)
  • Disability certificate (for candidates with special needs)
  • Transfer proof (in case parent(s) get transfer order from outside state)
  • Copy of XII board pass certificate (for children of former alumni)
  • Copy of death certificate (for children of single parent)

[Out of 180 total seats, 90 are for general category students, 9 are reserved for children of the staff, 36 and 45 seats are reserved for children from management quota and economically weaker section respectively. ]

Admission to class XI is offered on the basis of class X (CBSE or equivalent examination) result.

Admission to other classes is subject to availability of seats. Children have to appear for a written admission test followed by interview.
