Admission Procedure / Eligibility Criteria

For admission to the nursery classes, the prospectus is generally available from the school office in the first week of January. However, this facility is available only to candidates belonging to the EWS (Economically Weaker Section) and disadvantaged categories. For candidates belonging to the general categories, prospectus and application forms need to be downloaded from the school website. For the 2012-2013 session, the admission is closed.

The minimum age of student as on 31st March, of the year of admission, should be 3 years. The last date of submission of completed admission form is generally by second /third week of January. The first and second lists of selected students will be displayed on 1st February and 29th February respectively. Admission for this session closes on 31st March, 2012.

Documents needed to be produced at the time of admission are -

  • Birth Certificate of the student issued by the Municipal Corporation

  • Certificate of medical fitness of the student, issued by a registered medical practitioner

  • Residential proof of parents (Electricity Bill / Lease Deed / MTNL Telephone Bill / Passport / Voter I – Card) – The school may verify the address through home visits

  • Admission number and fee bill (in case of sibling)

  • Admission number, school leaving certificate, board examination roll number (in case of former alumni)

  • Attested affidavit (in case of first born child)

  • Attested affidavit (in case of single girl child)

  • Proof of marital status (in case of single parent)

  • Certificates of parents’ qualification (highest educational degree)

  • Proof of parent’s service (identity card or certificate issued by the employer or the head of the department)

  • Certificate for EWS or Disadvantaged category (if applicable)

Marks given at the time of admission of various parameters are as follows:

  • Children residing within 10 km radius – 30

  • Children residing beyond 10 km – 25

  • Children of former alumni (either parent) – 10

  • Children of former alumni (both parents) – 20

  • Sibling – 10

  • Only girl child – 10

  • Single parent – 10

  • First born child – 10

  • Child of military or paramilitary staff – 10

[Of the total number of seats in nursery (150), 25% i.e. 38 is reserved for children belonging to the disadvantaged and EWS groups. 30 seats (20%) are reserved for children under the management quota, remaining 82 seats are for candidates belonging to general category].

Fee Structure

For the 2012-2013 session, admission fee for the nursery class is as follows:

  • Tuition Fee – INR 2,700 per month

  • Computer Charges – INR 100 per month

  • Development Charges – INR 400 per month
