The Shri Ram School, Vasant Vihar, is the junior unit of the institute, admitting students from elementary classes to standard V. Apart from Vasant Vihar, the school also has branches in Moulsari and Hamilton Court. After standard V, the students automatically get transferred to the senior school campuses at Moulsari or Hamilton Court. The institute has also started a special education needs department since 1997 to provide the children with special needs similar educational opportunities. Admission Procedure | Forms for admission to nursery and elementary classes are available online from 1st January (tentative). One can also collect the forms from the school office. Last date for submission of forms is 15th January (tentative). Admission involves lottery system. Admission procedure closes on 31st March (tentative).
Admission to nursery classes (Vatika) is done as per the criterion specified by the Delhi State Government. During the time of admission, the child should be at least three and a half years old. For admission to kindergarten (Upvan), a child should be minimum 5 years of age. Admission procedure may also involve interaction with parents. Depending on the number of seats available, students are also admitted to higher classes. Applicants need to appear in a written assessment test, followed by an interview. |

Kindergarten and Class I
A non-formal, structured teaching method is followed, which includes mathematics, languages, and project work. There is no examination conducted in the elementary classes. Teachers do assessment and evaluation on a regular basis.
Classes II to V
Like the elementary classes, the junior school also does not have any formal examination pattern. Development of each child is monitored through regular evaluation and assessment worksheets. The children learn second language, mathematics, science, social and moral values, history and geography. The students also take part in assemblies, inter-house activities and school functions.
