Traditionally, the education system of the United Kingdom proposed a state financed system of undergraduate education in the country, except for students of private universities in the country. However, from the academic session starting October 2012, fees aside from the nominal top-up fee will be charged from every student pursuing higher education in the United Kingdom. Students will now have to pay fees of up to 9000 Pounds every academic year to study in UK colleges and universities.
The first degree offered in UK colleges is a bachelor’s degree that lasts for three years. Several colleges in the country offer the undergraduate master’s degree that lasts for four years. UK is home to famous colleges and universities of the world which admit both resident and international students. The lessons in the UK institutions are taught in English and this is an advantage with students from over the world.
