Admission Procedure/ Eligibility Criteria Undergraduate

Applications are invited in September and January. Those willing to seek admission in the first year can apply for the September session. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree are not eligible to apply for the undergraduate program. Admission to this university is highly competitive and is granted on the basis of academic performance of the students. Candidates must have completed 12 years of formal education. A minimum proficiency in English is required.

 

Graduate

  • Graduates from non-US universities and colleges can seek admission in Brown university provided their degree is equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from US.
  • Certificates of their last qualifying degree must be provided at the time of admission
  • IELTS/TOEFL scores are also considered during admission

Medical

  • A minimum grade point of 3 is needed for applying to the medical course. Candidates who haven’t yet completed their baccalaureate degree can also apply for the same. The university grants admission on the basis of MCAT scores and face to face interview. During admission, candidates need to submit their letter of recommendation.
Scholarships/Financial Aid Financial aid for international students is limited at Brown University. Candidates need to apply for the same at the time of admission. The university does not offer awards in cash; instead it offers credits to meet tuition fees, room expenses and boarding expenses. Financial aid is awarded to needy candidates.
