Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology is one of the renowned universities in Gujarat. This was among the top 17 Engineering colleges in the state. It came up as a joint venture initiative by Government of India and Government of Gujarat. Set up in the year 1961, the organization offered degree programs in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical and Civil Engineering.

Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology is also known as National Institute of Technology. It offers four year long degree courses. The college has acquired the status of Deemed University. It has facilities like central library, physical education section, and computer lab and entrepreneurship development cell.

Admission Procedure Admissions are based on scores obtained in respective entrance exams and graduation marks.
Eligibility Criteria Admissions to the courses are mainly based on the ranks obtained in AIEEE or Architecture Entrance Examination scores. For Post Graduate Courses: This requires 60 percent marks or Cumulative Grade Point and an average score in BTech/BE. 60 percent marks are also the criteria for PG Programme in Civil Engineering.
