University of Idaho is one of the pioneer universities in United States. Officially the name of this prolific American university is abbreviated as UI. Established in 1889, this state university is the oldest public university located in Moscow, a rural city in Latah Country, United States. Till date UI has produced the highest number of scholars. For 71 years this was the only university across the region. University of Idaho, being a rural land grant university, owns the largest campus area located in the rolling hills.

Presently the university has 12,000 enrollments each year. Around 142 degree programs are offered in the university, ranging from wildlife-sanctuary to accountancy. Hence an aura of diverse disciplines is expected from this rural State University of Idaho. The courses are also extensive. Ranging from the undergraduate courses to post graduate and doctorate courses, UI also offers certificate and diploma courses.

Admission Procedure / Eligibility Criteria The following steps are to be followed during admission to the university:

  • Submit the application form that is filled up and duly signed
  • School final examination mark sheet (study from an accredited high school is preferred)
  • GPA score
  • Proof of payment of non refundable application fees of $50
  • SAT or ACT test score
  • One official transcript from the head of the institute last attended by the applicant
  • A handwritten essay by the applicant which describes his objectives for choosing a particular course and the university
  • Three letters of recommendation from authorities who can testify to the academic qualifications of the applicant
Campus Placements The university provides for the law externship placements. This is followed by the pro bono placements. A student who is part of the pro bono placement program has to work for an additional 40 hours when the externship is over.
