International students need to present proper evidences of their potential to support themselves financially during their course of study. Admission to the graduate school is based on past academic records of the applicant, ability of research and number of vacancy in each department. In general, the university grants admission to only 10-20% of the applicants. International applicants whose native language is not English must appear for examinations to check their proficiency in the same.

Scholarships/ Financial assistance Washington University in St. Louis offers limited financial assistance for international applicants. The financial aids are granted on the basis of their academic excellence and can be renewed on a yearly basis.
