Requirements for International Students to Study in Denmark

Students coming to Denmark for higher studies need to apply for a residence permit. For this, they will have to show in writing that:

Scholarships Offered to International Students

The Ministry of Education in Denmark has introduced New Scholarship program for students with excellent academic records outside the EEA (European Economic Area) and EU (European Union) area. Students enrolled for the full time degree course are eligible for this scholarship program and the minimum time valid for availing the same is one year. Indian students are also eligible for the Danish Government Scholarship program. Students enrolled at the advanced levels in domains like Pedagogy, Fine Arts, Dairy Technology and Atomic Research are eligible to avail this scholarship program.

Educational Expenses

Students enrolling for the full time course may have to pay somewhere between 6.000 – 16.000 Euros for meeting their educational expenses. In addition, the living expenses are as follows:

Accommodation DKK 1,650- 2,300 per month ( approximately)
Meal DKK 100 – 400( approximately)
Telephone DKK 200 ( approximately)
Recreational DKK 500-1500 ( approximately)

Students Visa

Indian Students coming for higher education will need a student visa to enter Denmark. To apply for a student visa, candidates need to submit the following documents:

  • Passport photos ( 2 copies)
  • Valid passport
  • Details about alien identification number and CPR number ( if applicable)
  • An invitation (if possible) from any referential source inDenmark. The invitation must contain significant details like the name and address of the reference, your relationship with the same and the purpose of visitingDenmark.

Education System
